as you can see in the attached screenshot, my “positions” screen shows me losses at the time of the screenshot, but they are formatted in green color. I don’t understand this at all. Please clarify it for me.
I couldn’t see your screenshot, but I think I know what you mean. I guess you see a rather small loss in real currency in green. If you look at the PnL in pips, this is probably positive at the same time, which is the basis for the colouring. As I would put it together, the PnL in pips does not account for the spread, while the PnL in real currency does. I find this quite confusing and would even say it is a bug in how ZuluTrade calculates the PnL in pips.
oh yes, sorry, I’ve forgotten to upload it. That’s it.
Do you mean the commission makes the trade negative? This makes sense, because you’re right, the amount of losses are always very small.
The commission or spread certainly makes the trade negative the moment it is opened
Why this is not accounted for in the pip-profit is quite a mystery to me. Maybe it simply leads to nicer trader statistics
We have noted your observation. Its something that we are thinking to improve it.
Indeed this happens due to spread/commissions of each trade while the color is based on the pips.
